I am pleased to announce the public, free beta release of the Enterprise IDE Plugin for Flex Builder. The Enterprise IDE Plugin is the evolution of the Cairngorm Plugin first previewed on these pages. It is an architect and developer productivity suite for Flex Builder 3 designed to simplify and aid the development of Enterprise Applications using Flex Builder 3. The Enterprise IDE Plugin includes all the features originally previewed here and many more. All in all it has 20 major features, including code navigation tools, code generation tools, code documentation tools, and general productivity tools.

The Enterprise IDE Plugin is the first product from IDE Factory L.L.C, a new company created with the goal of becoming the source for Adobe Flex high productivity developer tools for Enterprise grade applications. IDE Factory is now out of stealth mode and development of the Enterprise IDE Plugin will be out in the open from now on. There are support forums available in the IDE Factory web site, and the company bug tracker system is open and accessible from the public. Bug reports and new feature requests are welcome and will be taken in consideration.
